This is a very simple product that does a very good job and solves a problem for a reasonable price.
I think the brackets need to be adjustable so that various door widths can be accomodated. My door was larger and I had to rebend the brackets..

I am very pleased with the board. It reminds me of my childhood days when we had a cabinet in the kitchen with a door that had an ironing board in it. I always wondered why they took those out. The only thing is, it makes a horrible sound when you pull it down. I don't know why. Other than that, I love it.

Having an ironing board out of the way is so convenient. My ironing board was always up, now this is totally out of the way.

I bought this six years ago because I didn't have room to store an ironing board, nor did I want the hassle of setting one up every time I needed to iron. This was the perfect solution. It locks in place in the upright position, and is easy to lower for ironing. The pad is a little thin, and it could use rubber bumpers to protect the door, but overall it's a great buy. Spend a couple dollars more at the hardware store for some self-stick bumpers and problem solved. After six years, my door has only slight wear from the hangers. I'd recommend it—especially if you use a 20% off BB&B coupon!

I did not have any problems with this over-the-door ironing board. The fasteners did not scratch my white door, and the board locked just fine when in the upright position. It's not as top quality as others, but it gets the job done just fine!

The pad on my 20 year old, also BB&B, over the door ironing board finally quit. Couldn't find a replacement at BB&B, so I bought a new board with cover. Although appearing to be exact same unit, the door attachments do not fit within the holes meant to hold them in place, the hooks used to attach the pad are sharp & will tear the cover. My solution...use the new pad on the old board...mighty expensive pad at $40. Ace hardware has similar unit w available replacement pads....if only I had discovered them before I rehung mine!

This ironing board does not lock in at all when it's upright, and there are no bumpers to avoiding damaging the door! The metal hanger already scratched the paint off my door!
