I have needed some inexpensive spice jars for quite a while as I buy a lot of my spices in bags from the market or from the internet. Everything I looked at was not appropriate until I found these. I will be buying more of them.

These spice jars fit perfectly in my new custom spice drawers. The seal is great, the opening on the top is just right and I've ordered stickers to put on top of the lids. I bought 25 of them to start with. I just may order a few more.

I really like these jars. My collection is now over 40. Call me obsessed but I like things to match. I could not stand a rack of differently sized and shaped bottles for my spices. It just did not look "nice" or "right". I had been looking for a spice rack but always found flaws on all the choices I found. Here you have a glass jar, easily available and for $.99. If you use one of the $5 off a $15 purchase you are even getting a better deal!
Like others I also found the standard 5 large hole sifter too big for powders. I saw that some use the standard McCormick lids. That works ok but here is a better option...the Best Choice half jars (I think they are .5 oz) available at most grocery stores as the store brand have sifters that come in the large 5, small 5 and 11 hole variety and they fit these jars just perfectly...plus they cost $1 for the spices and container. So if you get creating and get some of those....you can end up like me... with all 3 sifter choices to use at will, plenty of product to use and a collection of nice looking full glass spice jars. I just added a labeler from Target and now I display my spice collection with pride :-).
Hope this helps!

Great Spice jars!

I found a vintage spice rack that I upcycled. These jars were perfect. Very good quality.
Also, a side note: The standard McCormick spice jar lids fit these bottles perfectly. I used one or two of them because the holes are a tad smaller than the lids that come on them. I think it would be cute also if you used the red McCormick lids... would be a cute accent to a red kitchen.

I bought these spice jars to put in my Spectrum Wall-Mountable Black Scroll Spice Rack (see amazon). They fit perfectly at 6 jars per shelf.
My only complaint is regarding the little plastic sifter cap: the holes are far too big for ground herbs & spices. It's been difficult to find a sifter cap with smaller holes that will fit on this jar.
I saved my red McCormick plastic caps since those fit on these jars.

I was so happy to find these spice jars. They fit right into my spice holder, and has both the covers and the sprinkler tops on every jar.

The reason I purchased these was to augment my current inventory (which were jars with white caps). When I ordered them, the picture showed them with white caps...excellent. When I got them, they came with black caps...not so excellent.

Make Your Own Labeled Spice Rack.

These clear glass spice jars are an excellent, high-quality product, and I highly recommend them! The glass is thick, and the shaker tops/screw caps fit very nicely. If you're buying these jars to create your own large spice rack (perhaps one that will hold exactly 18 of THESE spice jars), I have a humble recommendation that worked very well for me.
I first bought a chrome wire, wall-mount spice rack for around $13, called the “Neu Home Gourmet Spice Rack #1812”. It’s available at various online stores like walmart, amazon, etc, and it will hold EXACTLY 18 of these spice jars PERFECTLY. (3 levels @ 6 jars per level).
Then as far as the labels go (as questioned by an earlier reviewer) you can easily print your own. I used the “Avery Address Labels #8160” and their free online template for printing. (The Avery website allows you to either use a free “online template” or download a free "template program" for ALL their labels). NOTE: These particular labels (1" x 2.5") will cover "across" exactly the front 50% of the jar, but you can pretty much get Avery labels in any size you like. Then, simply print as many labels as you like, in whatever font, color, or template style you wish. That’s the nice part, for you can make the labels appear as “basic” or as “stylish” as you wish, perhaps even with little pictures of "herb plants" if you like.
So with these 3 items, you will end-up with a very nice “uniform & stylish”, 18-jar, clearly labeled, wall-mounted, chrome spice rack, with clearly seen "amount levels". But, whatever type of setup you plan on using, at the very least I still humbly recommend that you do purchase these spice jars. It's a very good product that will last forever, at an affordable price.

GREAT Jar!

I actually bought several of these for cake/cookie decorations (sprinkles) instead of for spices. They work GREAT! I can buy seasonal sprinkles in bulk much cheaper and put them in these jars so my daughter can help decorate. The shaker top comes off easily for cleaning and filling, yet stays on through a young childs vigorous shaking. Also, the clear jar allows you to see what's inside quite easily. I would recommend these jars for spices, sprinkles or anything else you can imagine :)
